Nerding - 3D Printing

Grades 3rd–6th | 6-Week Session | 1.5 hours each

Class Times & Options:
Our most popular class is back — now with two sections at each school! Choose between the immediately-after-school class (2:20–3:50 PM) or the later class (4:00–5:30 PM).
3D Printing is open to any 3rd–6th grader from any school, district, or homeschool.
(NOTE: Wednesday @ Norte – classes are slightly earlier, from 2:00–3:30 PM and 3:40–5:10 PM.)

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
Drop-off for the later section is easy and traffic-free. Our teachers Mr. Garrett and Ms. Wendy will meet students in the car drop-off/pick-up lane as they dismiss the first section and welcome the second. Look for their blue NERDING shirts!

IMPORTANT! Double-Check Your Class Time:
Students cannot remain on campus to wait for the 4PM section unless enrolled in Kids Club. If they’re in Kids Club, we’ll pick them up. Otherwise, students must be picked up after school and brought back at the start of the 4PM class.

About This Class:
For beginning to advanced 3D designers! This year, learn how to “articulate” a print to make it flexible. In this fun class, you’ll explore how 3D printing works and develop the software skills you’ll need to create your own unique designs. Take home several mini-prints and a large final project. Many nerds love to repeat this class — we’re always adding new projects and challenges!
