| B.O.L.T.S. Explosions & Chemical Engineering | A week-long innovative and hands-on S.T.E.A.M. based program with students participating in extreme science experiments, team challenges, and explosive chemical reactions. Activities will focus on creating carbon dioxide, building your own volcano, exploring Isaac Newton and making non-Newtonian substances like Oobleck & Slime. Learning why chemicals react while making Elephant Toothpaste. Discovering Polymers, Orbeeez, Lava Lamps and more! All supplies included. |
| Challenge Island Slimetopia | Welcome to Slimetopia - an ooey, gooey, squishy, squashy, slippery, stretchy slime-drenched camp extravaganza! Learn the science behind the slime while enjoying a fun Slimetopia Themed Camp. Make at least 5-10 different kinds of the addictively playful polymer: From butter to bubble; from crunchy to munchy; from fluffy to floamy from unicorn to color-changing we’ve got you and your STEAM Team covered (in slime, that is!). We will do S.T.E.AM. activities as well as coordinating slime. Don’t miss out on this Challenge Island bestseller! Slime(s) is a take home activity each day! |
| Chess Emporium | Chess Emporium teaches a fun and exciting introduction to the game of chess. All skill levels are welcome, even beginners! Class will teach game basics to all and cover introductory chess openings, chess game notation, basic chess tactics, introductory strategy, and basic endgames. Students will practice against classmates and participate in structured activities including fun chess variants (such as Bughouse chess), chess puzzles, and much more! Studies by major corporations have shown that chess can help students improve their math, verbal, creative, and critical thinking skills. Chess provides helpful insights into mathematics, visualization, analysis, and writing skills. |
| Elements Piano | A comprehensive, award winning piano course that uses favorite songs along with fun theory activities to teach all the keyboard "elements" like Counting, Note Reading, Rhythm, and much more, using a portable piano lab set up at your school! |
| Nerding 3D Printing | 3D Printing is Nerding’s all time most popular class! Nerds love to take this class over and over, so we are now regularly changing projects and to keep things fresh and challenging for returning nerds. Also, we have 6 brand new printers this year that are literally 4x faster! I know! We can barely believe it ourselves! In this fun hands-on class, nerds will craft 3D models using intuitive CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software tailored for kids. From concept to creation, they’ll master the printing process, witnessing their designs materialize layer by layer before their eyes, and proudly take home their masterpiece. But it’s not just about crafting cool gadgets – it’s about the journey of discovery. Alongside honing math and spatial reasoning skills essential for navigating the 3D design landscape, nerds will explore the applications of 3D printing. From prosthetics enhancing lives to constructing homes and even venturing to space, discover how this technology is shaping tomorrow’s world. |
| Planting Seeds Eco-Jewelry from Earth | In this eco-friendly jewelry-making course, students embark on a creative journey starting with recycled materials to craft environmentally conscious accessories.The course culminates in working with air dry clay & resin to create unique and polished items like bracelets, rings, earrings, jewelry boxes, and keychains. Along the way, students will explore their artistic potential while learning important sustainable art techniques, emphasizing the use of ecofriendly practices and materials throughout the creative process. |
