This is a 2 week virtual class where students will learn important life skills. Students will have a daily lesson of asynchronous online interactive content which will then be followed up with a zoom meeting with an instructor. The class content and Zoom sessions can be accessed on any computer or mobile device with internet accessibility (laptop, iPad, phone, tablet, etc.). The class time you choose will be the time of the zoom meeting. Learning Objectives: Personal Self-Management Skills – Students develop skills that help them enhance self-esteem, develop problem-solving abilities, reduce stress and anxiety, and manage anger for better mental health. General Social Skills – Students gain skills to meet personal challenges such as overcoming shyness, communicating clearly, building relationships, and avoiding violence. Drug Resistance Skills – Students learn skills that help them build effective defenses against pressures to use tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.
