Jet off to Peru to mold a model of Machu Picchu before trekking across China’s Great Wall like a true explorer! Travel back in time to the Roman Colosseum, the Taj Mahal of India, and the mighty Mayan pyramid of Chichen Itza. Get ready to discover, imagine and create! -
Inspirato - Slime Design Lab
Get ready to dive into the wild, squishy world of slime! In this hands-on, goo-filled class you’ll discover how slime gets it its stretchy, gooey, slippery, elastic powers! Mix up some magic with fun ingredients to create all kinds of slime by experimenting with different materials to create unique textures, colors, and types of slime! Discover how different formulas and ingredients can change the slime’s sticky, slippery, oozy, cool consistency that give it the perfect squish! Get your hands messy, test out your creations, and uncover the science behind the gooey, fluffy, stretchy fun we all love! -
Mad Science - STEM Odyssey
Kids get familiar with basic scientific principles, as well as how they experience the world around them. Exploring the nature of matter, light, and heat will give them a foundation to move on to more complex topics; paying attention to how they perceive things they see, smell, and taste will help them develop important observational skills! -
Nerding - Electric Inventions
Learn the shocking secrets of electronic circuits and make inventions of your own using wire, copper tape, LEDs, motors, and batteries! Also use a fun tool called a Makey Makey to build fruit pianos, gummy game controllers, and wacky keyboards! More class details here: nerding.org/electric-inventions/ IMPORTANT! Double-Check Your Class Time! There are two sections at Monte Vista, and Norte! Choose between the immediately-after-school class or the later class. Drop-Off & Pick-Up:Drop-off for the later section is easy and traffic-free. Our teachers will meet students in the car drop-off/pick-up lane as they dismiss the first section and welcome the second. Look for their NERDING shirts! Students cannot remain on campus to wait for the late section unless enrolled in Kids Club. If they’re in Kids Club, we’ll pick them up. Otherwise, students must be picked up after school and brought back at the start of the late class. -

Playful Digital Learning - Travel the World in Minecraft
Calling All Young Architects and World Explorers! Are you ready to embark on a global adventure — all within the exciting world of Minecraft? In this immersive Minecraft class, students will recreate historical structures from around the world. They will learn about each structure's country, culture, and significance while "traveling" through the digital landscape of Minecraft.Students will build world monuments in Creative mode and prepare presentations to share with their classmates. In addition to a fun and engaging experience, students will learn to: ✅ Research a country's history and architecture to understand its culture. ✅ Apply their knowledge by building accurate world monuments in Minecraft. ✅ Prepare and deliver presentations on their creations. ✅ Develop negotiating and teamwork skills to resolve conflicts in group settings. ✅ Give clear instructions and accept constructive feedback from teachers and peers. ✅ Use technology effectively to accomplish goals.
